Governance and legislative provisions for the Scottish Police pension schemes

Like all the pension schemes administered by SPPA, the Scottish Police pension schemes are covered by governance arrangements that were introduced under the 2013 Public Service Pensions Act.

From 1 April 2015, policy-focused Scheme Advisory Boards and delivery-focused Pension Boards were established to enhance transparency and accountability across the public service schemes.
